Aim The Society aims to promote awareness, importance and advancement of hydrology for our environment and society.
Objectives 1) To promote education and training 2) To promote scientific research and study of hydrology 3) To collaborate with other scientific organizations who have similar objectives at national and international level including the advancement in the hydrologic discipline 4) To disseminate information through the publication of newsletters, journals and other appropriate mean 5) To host, organise and participate in meetings, conferences etc. for the interchange of research findings, information and experiences.
Activities 1) Supporting and participating in research and study projects of hydrology and other related matters 2) Organising periodic meetings, conferences, workshop and other appropriate activities in hydrology 3) Participating in meetings, conferences and such activities relating to hydrology 4) Collaborating with institutions, organisations, agencies or individuals on matters pertaining to hydrology and of common interests through the exchange of technical information
5) Disseminating information of interest to members of the Society and the public 6) Publication of periodic journals and newsletters and other appropriate means with the prior approval of the authority concerned 7) Exchanging and inviting experts for the further advancement of hydrologic discipline 8) Promoting education and training in the field of hydrology and other relevant fields in promoting awareness
Membership The Society shall be as widely representative as practicable of governmental, quasi-governmental, provate organisations, educational institutions and individuals, such as professionals, scientists, lecturers and students who are interested in the fields of hydrology and related matters.
